MIA & why you should never trust a librarian

I guess that is how you can describe me. I have been MIA. Not on purporse but because my life has been so hectic and crazy.
I sooo wish I had pictures from last night. Colton and I went with some of the people at his work and their girlfriends to Fox and the Hound (or is it Fox and Hound?) . I can honestly say...HANDS DOWN...I have never been to a bar before. We initially wanted to go bowling but that got nixed because they closed at midnight and we wouldn't get a lane (it was 10:30). So we went next door. Well, Wednesday nights just happened to be Karoke night. BAHA!! It was hysterical. Although Colton and I didnt drink, it was funny as heck to watch these grown people stand up there with no care at all and belt it out. Ryan was the best of the night until Colton sang "Waiting on the world to change" by John Mayer. It was the absolute very first time I have ever heard him sing (in almost SEVEN YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!) He is a great singer. He then sang "Come what may" from Moulin Rouge with me. haha. I was told I sang "like a disney princess" and someone said I sounded like "the character from beauty and the beast" (I hope he was referring to Belle. ha!) I think they were just drunk because I cant carry a tune worth diddly.
That was the extent of the "fun" part of my hecticness.
As far as my jobs go. I went in for the drug test for the rec job Monday and *fingers crossed* I should start next Monday (the 4th). I got accepted into the buyout which means TECHNICALLY this is my last day at work *yay!* and I will still get two months pay compensation. However, they asked me to work ON TOP of the two months at my regular hourly pay pt time until school starts. So after today I have 6 more days at the library. (Tues&Thurs for three weeks), and then I am gone for good.
This is great news, especially after what happened yesterday. A girl who has worked here part time for years, Josalyn's, last day was last night. I came up with the idea of getting her a going away gift (which I bought a basket and filled it with snacks for her trip to Austin, that's where she is moving, and a giftcard to Starbucks). I LOVE presents. I love buying them, I love wrapping them, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE to give them. I know it sounds corny, but I actually look forward to all of that. Anyways, I wrapped it beautifully (people said it looked like a professional basket you get at a floral shop) and I had it in the break room with me while I was eating dinner waiting for her to show up. I kid you not my supervisor walked in and ROLLED HER EYES and sighed after she saw it and then walked out. Then, the LIBRARY DIRECTOR and her came in and my supervisor pointed at it and they grabbed it. They said "We need to give this to her" I said "why?" thinking they were kidding...
They just said "Don't worry about it, we'll have her talk to you" another girl i work with and I stood there and laughed because we thought they were kidding and they blocked the door and walked out with it.
I was pretty ticked, I'm not gonna lie. They literally just stole our gift. Come to find out they "presented it" to her as a gift from them as their thanks and appreciation and this is a DIRECT QUOTE "We got you something as a token of our appreciation. It's not much, but we thought it would be nice. It is from us and the staff here at the library."
What the heck?!
Jokes on them: i called Josalyn before she came to tell her what was up, but still?! THEY bought it. THEY thought about her. THEY did it?! What?!! I am not 100% positive, but I think that is stealing.
Grr!!
More later, got to do the mail.
